While I was in Rio to cover the Carnival, I suddenly got a facebook message from a guy I knew from my time in Copenhagen, Denmark, just randomly asking me if I wanted to go to a HipHop street party / bloco later that evening, because he knows the organizer. Was surprised to suddenly get a message after 2 years not speaking, but as glad to get that offer. I sadly was severely delayed as I had to cover some other bloco too… So the party was basically over, but I still got to talk more than an hour (due to my lovely personal translator Sonia, thanks again so much! ) with some awesome people, and they made it all worth while, and they are one of the biggest reasons for me to come back to Rio again!
As there was not much party anymore, I just did some portrait shots of the people around me.
I was on my way to another bloco/carnival streetparty, when sudden events in the metro made me drive 7 stops past my original destination 🙂
I was used to that the Brazilians sing and party in the metro/subway/underground.. But what started here evolved into a full-wagon party, with ordinary people, party heads, transvestites, street/favela style guys and and and….
It was amazing to see all of them together, just having fun and partying… wish we would have that all around the world!
Gallery for better view, otherwise HERE the facebook gallery with even more photos 🙂
Had the chance to do some pictures of the wonderful new family, of whom I already did the maternity photos (click here)
We will do some more soon, but they are just too cute not to show! 🙂

Had the honor to document Audrey’s and Marc’s special day near Brussels, Belgium. What I love most about weddings is the fact, that no wedding is the same. It is always interesting to meet different people, nationalities, different customs etc.
I enjoyed the day a lot and had a happy couple, which is the most important part!
